The Best BBQ Sauce
OK, I know everyone like to say they make the best Bbq sauce, I also know I'm not some fancy pitmaster. That said, I think this is damn good, and I get so many compliments on it whenever I make it. I have been mastering this sauce recipe senesce college. Yes, that's right, college. Back in my collegiate days, my good friend and I wanted to make a fathers day gift for our dads (being young kids with no money, this was a fun homemade gift), so I have been working on it for many years.
Ingredients:
1 can 15oz tomato sauce
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 drops liquid smoke
In a saucepan, combine tomato sauce and brown sugar. Simmer over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Add in remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
Let simmer on low for 5 minutes to meld all the flavors together.
And that’s it, folks! It's really that’s easy. Pop it in a jar and it will last in your fridge for 3-4 weeks. I love making a big batch and keeping it on hand. Let the summer grilling season begin.
Cheers Babes
