Memorial Day Table

I will jump at any chance to gather my family and friends together to enjoy delicious food and drinks while seated around a beautiful table. I love nothing more than planing out my table and watching it come together. This sweet little table is full of all my favorite things and is ready for all the grilling and gathering over this holiday weekend. Clearly, I love me some 'stars and bars,' so this was such a fun table to put together.

I like to start at the bottom and work my way up when I start to plan my table. My first layer is (no surprise, I'm sure) fabric from the fabric store in a navy and white stripe. I love this trick. It allows me to get exactly what I want and for a fraction of the price. My second table runner is from Hobby Lobby. I love the look of layering two runners together.

I have been on the hunt for some cute summer chargers and I found these darling ones at Hobby Lobby. I also picked up the red and white gingham tray. I like that the tray adds another layer to the center of the table and helps pull all the colors together. I also added theses milk bottle glasses with straws for a fun element instead of water glasses.

I like to use white Hydrangeas for flowers in my centerpieces because I think the white is a nice neutral and matches everything. Hydrangeas are one of the few flowers that absorb water from their petals, so before I put my arrangement together, I give them a good soak in a cold water bath. This will help them stay fresh much longer. If, after a few days, they start to seem droopy again, I will give them another soak. My vase is from good ole Target, and my glass candle holders are from the dollar store.

Now add some burgers, watermelon, and some corn on the cob and you ready for a party.
