Turkey Baguette Dip

IMG_2118.jpg

This is one of my go-to family favorite dinners. I feel like I’m constantly in search of things that please all my picky eaters. This “sammy” is the perfect addition to your dinner rotation. Crispy warm baguette, rich Gruyere cheese, and salty au jus to dip. What more do you want from dinner?? Maybe a big old glass of wine! Done!! I love that this recipe calls for turkey, a protein we don’t as much unless it’s the holidays, so it’s a nice way to mix things up.

Start by laying your turkey out on a sheet pan. If the turkey breasts are really thick; filet them a bit so they cook faster.

Drizzle with some olive oil and top with a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and thyme.

Pop it in the oven for 15-20min or until done.

While the turkey is in the oven, slice the baguette into 2-3 portions, and then split in half.

Butter the inside of the baguette and place on a sheet pan with the butter side facing up.

Slice the Gruyere into thin pieces and place on one side of the buttered baguette.

Once your turkey is done pull it out and let it cool for a minute before slicing.

Place the baguettes in the oven to toast and melt the cheese.

Slice you onion into half and then slice it into strips.

Add the olive oil to a sauce pan and turn stove to medium.

Add the onion slices and cook down until translucent.

Add the stock, worcestershire sauce and salt to taste. Bring it to a simmer.

Slice the turkey into thin pieces and add to the baguette.

I cut the sandwich in half and serve it with the broth to dip. If you are really feeling fancy on a weeknight, shred a little of the Gruyere on top of the soup. Delicious comfort food in no time. It’s sure to please everyone. And best of all, it took along no time!!!! BAM, you are killing it, Babe!!

XOXO

Cheers Babes
