Cranberry Sauce
I feel like people either love or hate cranberry sauce. I am on team love, and I could eat it on anything. I think it’s safe to assume if you have made it this far on my post, you too share my love of cranberry sauce. It is so simple to make; please stop buying it in the can. It is a 10 minute start to finish project that is more than worth the time. I love the flavor profile in this recipe with the addition of a little orange.
12 oz fresh Cranberries (one bag)
1 1/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Apple Juice
Zest of 1/2 a Orange
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Heaping Tbs Corn Starch
1/4 cup Cold Water
Add your cranberries, sugar, and apple juice to a small saucepan. Turn your heat to medium and bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
Add in your zest and turn the heat to low.
Use a potato masher to crush the berries in the pan.
Mix water and corn starch in a small bowl. Then Slowly add it to your cranberry sauce. Stir until it thickens.
Transfer to a heat safe dish, cover and let cool in the fridge until ready to serve.
