Basic B Espresso Martini

Ok so as long as we are in the trust tree here Im going to confess I have never liked coffee. I tried in collage to get into it, knowing a lack of sleep was going to be a thing. But is seemed I only liked it if it was full of sugar and cream and that was just more calories then I want to invest in for a beverage. So I learned to live without it. And honestly as an adult I don’t really miss it. Im just so naturally Perky in the morning I don’t really need it (that’s a total joke I’m a mess). Anyway point being I don’t like it.  I thought the espresso martini such a popular drink I should try it and come up with a good recipe. Much to my surprise they are very yummy and so much classier then the vodka red bull of our past. So here we are i’m jumping on the bandwagon.

Ingredients:

2 oz Vodka

1 oz Kahlua

1 shot (1oz) Espresso Cooled (I don’t have an espresso maker at home so If I know ahead that I want to make these I will pick up some shots and store them in the fridge until I’m ready to use them. You can also make it with cold brew but they are not as strong and that’s really why we are here other then to be classy bitches)

1/2 oz Simple syrup (simple syrup is equal parts sugar and water brought to a boil to dissolve the sugar and then cooled.)

1 oz Heavy whipping Cream

In a shaker add ice, Vodka, Kahlua, espresso, simple syrup and heavy whip.

Pop the top back on the shaker and make sure its tight. Give it a good shake and pour into a coup glass. Extra points if you chilled your glass (that makes you not only classy but sophisticated too). I like to top with a few espresso beans.

Now sit back in your favorite ball gown and sip it down like the classy B you are.

Cheers Babes

XOXO
