Little Pumpkin Baked Brie
Ok, we are in full swing around here, and it’s all things holidays and hosting. So you know this girl is in her element! This cute little pumpkin-baked brie is not only adorable but is also gooey and delicious. It will make the cutest little appetizer for all your holiday functions. And don’t you worry, I promise it's easy to throw together!
Ingredients:
Round Brie Cheese
Favorite Jam (I’m using apple)
Sheet of puff pastry
Cooking string
Cinnamon stick
Egg wash (one egg and one 1 tablespoon cream whisked together)
Preheat the oven to 400.
Start by laying out the puff pastry and unwrapping the brie.
Place the brie in the middle of the pastry and top with a few spoonfuls of jam.
Gently pull the corners of the pastry up around the brie.
Cut the string into four long pieces, wrap them evenly spaced out around the pastry, and tie in a knot. Make sure to pull the string tight enough that it is secure around it.
Once I have it tied tight, I flip it over, place it on a lined baking tray, and coat it with egg wash. This makes the crust comes out shiny.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
Snip off the string and add to a serving tray.
Place a cinnamon stick in the middle to look like the handle of a pumpkin.
You can serve this by itself with fresh pear, apple, and baguette. Or add it to a charcuterie board with other yummy snacks. How freaking adorable it that!!!
Cheers Babas
