Caramel Apple Hot Toddy
I mean, do I really need to say more……. I made this fun fall twist on the classic cold weathered cocktail because I have wanted to find something to make with the Crown Royal Apple Whiskey. Toddy’s are my go-to drink as soon as the weather gets cold. I love the fact I can hold it in my hands and it will keep me nice and tosty. Not to mention, no-one questions what’s in your thermos, so there’s that!!!
1.5 oz or 1 jigger Crown Royal Apple Whisky
1.5 oz Apple Cider or apple Juice
1 Tabs Caramel Sauce (I usually have this on hand, but no shame in using store bought. No judgment here)
1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Cinnamon Stick
4 whole Cloves
8 to 12 oz Hot Water
Thinly slices apples for garnish.
I start by boiling my water in my tea kettle. While that comes to a boil, I add the rest of my ingredients to my mug. Once my water is hot, I add it over the top and stir it all together. I will top it with my apple slices because I’m fancy like that and cozy up to watch Christmas Vacation with my kids for the 100th time!!!
