The Cutest Little Easter Table

I love Easter!! I’m here for the colors, the chocolate, and the sweet little babes in their Easter best. I mean, what’s not to love. I will take castle pink and blue all day. I always have so much fun conceptualizing my easter table.

I pulled my inspiration this year from these darling placemats from good old target. I love the ruffle detail; it adds an extra bit of romance to the table. I paired that with a matching runner. I love how it ties it all together and sets the perfect base for our table. I found the grass runner at Hobby Lobby this spring (this is another great option). I layer that on the gingham runner; it was just the right size to peep (pun intended)through.

Onto the plate setting; you know I preach buying staple pieces you will use again and again… Well, your girl has been on a long hunt for white chargers; I found them, and I bought a lot (sorry honey), but I knew these would be a staple for many tables to come. I paired them with the cute straw mats that I’m sure you have seen me use before (another staple around here). I think the little bit of texture between the placemat and the charger helps you see every layer.

Next up is a pink gingham plate. I know what you are thinking… more gingham? As someone who is 100% sure I was a southern woman in a past life, you can never have enough!!

When you do pattern-on-pattern, there are a few things to keep in mind; you either need to have a large scale pattern with a smaller scale pattern, or the patterns need to be the same scale and in the same color wheel. In this case, the scale is the same and has the same tone, so it works. The last plate is actually paper, but I was so in love with the shape I added it anyway, and I think it looks great. They are the brand Meri Meri, and they are one of my go-to for parties. I topped that all off with these blueberry baskets filled with eggs and a small ceramic bunny because why not get a little extra up in here!!

I'm sure this will come as a big surprise, but I have never had pink napkins in my collection. I was not sure I would use them enough to justify it. After setting many a table and wishing I had them, I pulled the trigger. I have always loved the Williams and Sonoma linen ones, but they were not in the budget. I was overjoyed when I found a dupe on Amazon. When I got them, the pink was a little brighter than I had hoped. But where there is a will, there is a way!! I remember when I was little, my Grandmother would tea stain things to give them a more antique patina. So I thought I would give it a try. All you need is a bowl of hot water. Drop 3-4 black tea bags in and allow it to brew. Once you have reached the desired color, drop your item in the bowl. Let them soak for a few minutes, and then run them through the wash. Let me tell you, this worked like a charm and gave my napkins the perfect dusty pink. To top those off, I added a bunny napkin ring for the perfect touch of whimsy. Lastly are the pink goblets that tie it all together.

I wanted to keep the center of the table a little more straightforward because there is so much going on in each place setting. I added some white ceramic bunnies, a big glass egg, and of course a big vase full of tulips.

This table is soft, sweet, and a little whimsical. I can’t wait to share it with my family for Easter dinner.

Happy Easter Babes

XOXO
