Classic Stuffing

I feel like people either love stuffing or hate it. I'm on team stuffing! I love it!! The saltiness of the sausage, paired with the sweetness of the fruit, it just makes the most comforting flavor. So let's elevate that box of Stove Top and make something everyone will be going back to for seconds!

Ingredients:

3/4 lb ground Italian Sausage cooked off

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 white Onion diced

3 stocks Celery diced

1 Apple cored and diced

1 cup fresh Cranberries

Fresh Thyme, Sage and Rosemary (I used a few sage leafs, 2 stocks of thyme and one of rosemary and chopped it fine)

Salt and Pepper to taste

32 oz Chicken Stock

3/4 cup Butter

Bag of Dried Bread of Stuffing Mix

Preheat oven to 400

Grease a large baking dish.

In the baking dish, add in the dried bread, and top with 1/2 butter cut into chunks.

In a sauté pan, add the oil, celery, and onion and cook down until softened.

Add the apples, cranberries, herbs, salt & pepper to the pan, and sauté until soft.

Add the ground sausage and sautéed mix on top of the breadcrumbs.

Stir the mix while adding the chicken stock oven to the top. Make sure all the mix gets saturated with the stock.

Cover and bake for 30 minutes.

Melt remains butter and pour evenly over the top.

Leave uncovered and bake for another 15 minutes.

Serve with all the other fixings and enjoy.

Cheers Babes

XOXO
