10 Minute DIY Wreath
Ok, this girl loves a good dupe! I wanted a wreath for fall that was different than the traditional orange/yellow leaf wreath but cost less than my inspiration wreath of $100 (others go for as much as $250). This gorgeous wreath cost me under $25 and took no more than 10 minutes to make. Even the most novice of my friends can make it (you know who you are!). This will save so much money you can now have a pumpkin spice latte every day until it's time to switch to peppermint!
What you need:
2 Bunches Silver Dollar Eucalyptus
2 Bunches Seeded Eucalyptus
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue
Ribbon to tie a bow at the top
I picked up a vine wreath at my local craft store, two bunches of seeded eucalyptus, and two bunches of silver dollar eucalyptus at Trader Joe's. Cut about 2-3 inches off the bottom of the eucalyptus and brake it down into smaller bunches, and tuck it into the vine wreath. Continue around the whole wreath until it's full as desired. In some places where the eucalyptus would not stay put, I would use my hot glue gun and attach it where I wanted it. Just hot glue the back of a silver dollar leaf and glue it to the part of the branch that was just glued to the wreath so you will not be able to see the hot glue. This is needed more at the top of your wreath to keep the eucalyptus following the curve of the wreath.
I do this around the whole wreath until it's as full and bushy as I would like it to be. I use my favorite ribbon; in this case, I used a strip of white linen fabric and four different textures of off-white yarn to tie a bow on the top to hang it. It will start to dry out over a few weeks, but eucalyptus dries out beautifully and will continue to look nice. That's it!! No, really, that is it!! I told you you could do it…. Now go and be crafty!!
